It looks like a cool and hazy night on the Miracle Mile as we look east at the neon sign of the Silverwoods, an upscale men’s clothing store on Wilshire Blvd in the 1930s.
Although I associate noir with the ’40s, this shot from the 1930s surely defines that genre to a “t.”
