Palomar Ballroom at night, Los Angeles, circa 1930s. 245 S. Vermont Ave, burned to the ground in 1939I love atmospheric night-time photos like these, where the neon light glows like a beacon summoning us to come dine and dance the night away in a time when none of us just stayed home and watched TV. This is the Palomar Ballroom, circa late 1930s. It was a massive dance hall, nearly a block long, on Vermont at 2nd and 3rd Streets and went through various incarnations before it burned to the ground in 1939.
