Wilshire Blvd at Gramercy Place, Los Angeles, 1936

Wilshire Blvd at Gramercy Place, Los Angeles, 1936Looks like a line of swanky cars are banking up along Wilshire Boulevard. I’m guessing the guy in the cap leaning into the passenger window is a chauffeur yakking to another chauffeur while the lady of the house goes shopping in one of the classy stores that lined this stretch of Wilshire back in the 1930s (This shot is from 1936.) In the background, we can see the Plessier building (which houses the Art Deco wonder, the Wiltern Theatre, so this shot was taken at around Gramercy Place.
