This is a shot of Sunset Strip in 1949. On the right, about halfway up, we can see Ciro’s nightclub (now the Comedy Store). The white building next to it is the Hacienda Park Apartments (later renamed the Coronet and is now the Plaza del Sol office building. It all looks a bit sparse (buildings AND traffic) compared to what we’re used to seeing these days, doesn’t it?
