Here we have a vivid Kodachrome shot of Grauman’s Chinese Theater in June of 1948, when the double bill was “The Street with No Name” and “Here Comes Trouble.” As far as I’m concerned, any time when it was possible to find a park near Grauman’s qualifies as “the good old days.” We can see a white “passenger loading zone” which means no parking allowed. L.A. adopted the colored curb markings in 1946.
