Oh, how I would love to have partaken at this restaurant. Brought back memories when I lived in New Orleans and often ate lunch at a hole in the wall in the Quarter. Red beans and rice with Italian sausage and a generous side of honey cornbread was my favorite. Would have loved a cold Jax beer but was on my lunch hour haha!

Googled the address and the building is still there; as of Feb. ’15 it’s Mao’s Kitchen. There’s a narrow green-roofed courtyard along the side for dining outside (lovely view of a parking lot with graffiti)
