Well it’s for sure that I didn’t have the opportunity to dine with my grandfather Howard J. Sheehan, Sr. I wasn’t born yet! However, my mother & her brother were frequent visitors to the penthouse. My grandfather loved to tell the story about the police knocking at his door during a film premier at the theater. Howard Sheehan was an innovator & a determined executive for Fox Westcoast Theaters. He built a series of stunningly beautiful film houses. One of my favorites is the Arlington Theater in Santa Barbara. My grandfather drove me there from Los Angeles when I was thirteen. The theater was closed, but because of my grandfather’s insistence we were allowed inside. I was in awe. It’s quite the showplace.
