Westwood Blvd, Westwood, Los Angeles, California, circa 1940sIn this 1940s color shot of Westwood near UCLA, we can see how easy it must have been to drive around the neighborhood back then. We can also see the JC Penney and Chandler’s Shoe stores featured in a previous photo (http://wp.me/p5XK3w-1Y8). Below, we can see another 1940s color photo of Westwood showing what looks to be a little gated garden that I haven’t noticed in any other photo before.

  1. Westwood Village as I remember it – so special! We lived in a great Spanish home from 1938-1942 and it was within walking distance of the Village AND the skating rink. Such bliss. Also very close to UCLA, which I would attend many years later.
