This shot of the forecourt of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre is dated circa 1950s. It seems so peaceful, doesn’t it? Nobody dressed up as Marilyn or Jack Sparrow; nobody trying to hawk their hip-hop CD, or talk you onto a tour of movie star homes; or sell you a tee-shirt. Just a few people milling around trying to find the footprints of their favorite star and marvel at how small their handprints were.
