Ah, the days of eye-catching movie theaters! This is the Fox Stadium Theatre at 8906 W. Pico Blvd. It was built in 1930 as and continued to be a cinema up until the 1960s. It closed around September 1961. By March 1965 it had been converted into a synagogue, which is probably the only reason why it is still standing today. I love any building with a soaring tower—extra points when it’s done in art deco!
