It’s not for nothing that Los Angeles is known as the city of automobiles, so it follows that its gas stations should be out of the ordinary, too. This was the Sherman Oaks Service Station, which stood at 15362 Ventura Blvd., in Van Nuys. Wouldn’t it be something if gas station architects took this amount of care these days? And what on earth is that building behind it???
During the time we lived on Beverly Glen Blvd in Sherman Oaks (1951-1957) there was a great news stand on the SW corner and the La Reina theater was on Ventura Blvd & last I heard it was still there. We got a bit of rain yesterday – did you? And the countries who were meeting in Paris passed the agreement re global warming!!!!!
And the Green Bay Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys. All in all, it was a very good day. Love always.
It shows you how much went into all of these buildings (What Happened)? I love those clean white stations (What Happened)? Life was just so much cleaner, calmer, and a whole lot better back then
