On the stretch of the Hollywood Freeway (the 101) heading into downtown, some guy has the unenviable job of changing the light bulbs on the street lamps. Mind you, with only 21 cars in sight (I counted them) I’d say his job was a lot easier then (1952) than it would be now.
Wow, look at that uncluttered skyline! I’m assuming that one tall building is City Hall, right, Martin? I’m hoping those are clouds and not smog!
Sure wouldn’t want this guy’s job. Check out the size of the warning flags behind his truck!

David…I guess if you’re on that side of the freeway, then yes, you’re absolutely right…you’d be leaving downtown. Well spotted!
