Mary Pickford in Coquette (1929) at the United Artists Theater in downtown Los Angeles. I guess people didn’t think her voice was very golden because Coquette was one of her last pictures. On the plus side, that theater is still there. It’s now called the Ace Theatre and is part of the Ace Hotel, 929 S. Broadway, Los Angeles.
