Here’s an intersection I’ve driven though countless times – the corner of Franklin and La Brea Avenues. This photo is dated circa early 1900s and we can see that large, tasteful homes are already starting to pop up among the vast spaces of empty land. I particularly like that house in the foreground. What a shame that it gave way to all those bland apartment houses, huh?
