This is about as Hollywood as a Hollywood photo can get: massive spotlight light up the sky along Hollywood Boulevard for the premiere of the Jimmy Stewart movie, “Calling Northside 777” at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on February 26, 1948. But I’m sure the Chicago premiere was perhaps more exciting because this movie was the first Hollywood feature to be shot entirely on location in Chicago.
