In the summer of 1959, the Garden of Allah was sold to a property developer with plans to build a mini mall (because, apparently, L.A. needs more mini malls.) Before they tore down the property, an auction of all its effects was held. The items that brought the most was — no big surprise — Errol Flynn’s bed!
