Ralphs supermarket at corner of Westwood Blvd and Lindbrook Ave, Westwood, California, circa 1940sI always love seeing old photos of places that are still around. This is the Ralphs supermarket at corner of Westwood Blvd and Lindbrook Ave in Westwood. You wouldn’t find Ralphs putting up a market that looked like this these days, but this one was built in 1929, and in 1992 was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Actually, my favorite part of this photo is the Woodie parked out front!

These days (2016), it’s a Peet’s Coffee:

  1. David R. Ginsburg says:

Hi Martin. The cross street is Lindbrook.

  2. Imagine my delight on seeing this pic of the Ralph’s, which is where we did our marketing. I recall the petit fours, which sold for a dime apiece and they always plugged our watermelons – great store & thanks for the memory. Love always, Lou.
