Here we have a view, dated 1948, looking north up Vine Street from just south of Sunset Blvd, with the NBC Studios on the right, Wallich’s Music Center on the left, and farther up the street we can see the Broadway department store and the Brown Derby. These days of course, this same view is so much more crowded that I doubt anyone would be reckless enough to stand in the middle of Vine Street to take a picture like this.
Such a wonderful nostalgic shot. Sure wish it still looked like this. Love the street lamps and how you can faintly see “Hollywoodland” between the two buildings.
