In this circa 1930 photo, we’re looking east along Wilshire Blvd toward the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, which back then was only a couple of years old and known as the “Beverly Wilshire Apartment Hotel.” What caught my eye was the Richfield gas station on the Wilshire Blvd/Camden Dr/Dayton Way corner. I’d imagine the locals wish it was still there. All they’ve got the one up on Crescent, which probably my favorite in all LA with that glorious scooping roof.
