I must admit, I do enjoy a night shot of a building that has been thoughtfully lit. This is the sales office of the Union Pacific railway at 140 Pine Ave, Long Beach, circa 1940s. I love the font they used for “Road of The Streamliners and The Challengers” (which were types of locomotives.) I also find it interesting that they presented themselves as “The Progressive Union Pacific” – it appeared on a lot of their ads, too.
