One of the hidden gems of downtown L.A. is the Fine Art Building, built in 1927 (this photo is 1928.) What I love so much about it – apart from the fact it’s gorgeous and is still around – is that it was built specifically for the use of Angeleno artists. Instead of an office building for businessmen, someone thought to build a twelve-story tower in the heart of the city for people who created art.
Is the Book anything like the movie? I loved reading about the buildings for artists. Thank you for sharing this information.
