Fine Arts Building, 811 West 7th St, downtown Los Angeles, 1928One of the hidden gems of downtown L.A. is the Fine Art Building, built in 1927 (this photo is 1928.) What I love so much about it – apart from the fact it’s gorgeous and is still around – is that it was built specifically for the use of Angeleno artists. Instead of an office building for businessmen, someone thought to build a twelve-story tower in the heart of the city for people who created art.

Is the Book anything like the movie? I loved reading about the buildings for artists. Thank you for sharing this information.
