In this photo, we’re look at Carpenters drive-in restaurant at the corner of Wilshire Blvd and Le Doux Rd, Beverly Hills. Back then, Los Angeles was dotted with drive-ins like this one. This shot, taken in October 1932 show us how wide open Wilshire was back then. Nowadays, it feels like so suffocating.
Umm umm One medium rare steak sandwich and a krisp kream waffle to go, please! Or maybe I’ll just sit in my Packard and enjoy ’em right here.
Sad and shameful this is all gone including those prices!
