When I first saw this photo, I thought, “Well, this pretty much sums up Hollywood right here.” This is the Universal back lot where we can see the Psycho house. In the movie, it looks dauntingly terrifying, but from the back it’s all just faked hocus-pocus. Then I noticed at the top of the photo where we can glimpse “Little Europe” which is where they filmed all the classic Universal horror films with the angry villagers and their flaming torches and cries of “Kill the monster!” Knowing that those sets were really just made mainly of wood, the cry ought to have been “Don’t burn down the castle by accident otherwise we’ll be here all night!”
