Looking southeast along Canon Drive toward the Warner Bros. Theater on Wilshire Boulevard, Beverly Hills, 1936Wouldn’t it be great if Beverly Hills was still like this? Popular, but not packed. Worth going to, but not so that parking is impossible. In this photo we’re looking southeast along Canon Drive toward the Warner Bros. Theater on Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills in 1936. That sign on the left—Auburn Cord—was for an American brand of automobile that went out of business the year after this photo was taken. The Warner Bros. theater was pretty spectacular—you can see more photos of it on my website.
