William Fox Studio, 1845 Allesandro St, Los AngelesLong before there was Twentieth Century-Fox, there was the William Fox Studios at 1845 Allesandro St in what was then called Edendale, which now takes in Echo Park, Los Feliz and Silver Lake. Edendale was where many of the early silent studios set up shop, including Mack Sennett, home to Charlie Chaplin, Fatty Arbuckle, and the Keystone Kops, Selig, who made a star of Tom Mix, and Fox, who made the long-lost Theda Bara Cleopatra.
