My goodness! It’s real food! I don’t think there’s a single item on the menu I wouldn’t enjoy (with the possible exception of the salad dressing made with mineral oil; a novel solution to that age-old problem).
Was a Bullocks Wilshire Tea Room cookbook ever published?
My dear grandmother worked at Bullocks Wilshire for many years as a tailor
Many stars..mainly Clark Gable and Carey Grant…she would bring me to work with her on Saturdays..we rode the streetcar to and from Eagle Rock..sometimes we would dine in the Tea Room or go to the Brown Derby
For lunch..nothing like Christmas at Bullocks…They had an enormous tree made of all white ostrich feathers that would slowly sway in the breeze when
The door would open where the valet was..I would give anything to take the tour next year…truly the best part of my childhood ..Marietta Passero (granddaughter of the late Domenica Gianelli known as Angelina

Wow, Marietta! Thanks for stopping by and sharing your memories with us. That white ostrich feather Christmas tree sounds gorgeous!
Do you still serve tea at the tea room in bullocks. Who can I contact. Also for tours and holiday luncheons.

Hi Marianne, a couple of times a year, a group called Friends of Bullocks Wilshire organizes an open house, allowing the public to self-guide through the building. You can find more info here: https://www.swlaw.edu/bullocks-wilshire-campus/bullocks-wilshire-building/support-bullocks-wilshire
Just curious what year this menu is from? Thank you!
Sorry, Whitney, but I don’t have a date on this one.
No worries. Thanks for getting back to me!
