Narrow railway along Santa Monica Blvd at Western Avenue, Hollywood, 1906This photo shows us how an unrecognizable Santa Monica Boulevard looked in 1906. This was taken at the intersection of Western Avenue back when the eastern end of Hollywood was a separate town, called Colegrove. As we can see, Santa Monica Blvd was narrow railway track along a dirt road. The area is completely urbanized now, of course, but then it must have been so peaceful.
