As much as I enjoy coming across a spectacular photo of Grauman’s or Bullocks Wilshire, I also appreciate the more intimate slice-of-life photos that capture a random moment in LA’s history. In this photo from 1937, we see passers-by checking out the window display of the florist at the Biltmore Hotel on Olive Street, overlooking Pershing Square. I love how everybody is so nicely dressed in their hats – especially the woman with the white hat and matching shoes. #sigh
