I’ve seen (and posted) a number of pictures of the Hollywood Bowl but I don’t think I’ve ever seen these two decorated towers before. This photo is dated 1926, so I guess it was replaced by Lloyd Wright’s pyramidal shell built out of leftover lumber from a production of “Robin Hood” in 1927. What I find interesting about this incarnation is that is shows how rudimentary things were at the Bowl. Behind it is just a dirt road!
