Nighttime view looking south from Vine and Yucca Streets, Hollywood, past the Capitol Records Building, circa 1958When it opened in Hollywood in 1956, the Capitol Records Building must have really been a “What the heck…?” sight to see. Even now, over 60 years later, it’s still a striking building—but especially at night with all the lights blazing, as we can see in this circa 1958 shot taken at the corner of Yucca and Vine Streets looking south into Hollywood just a couple of years after the building opened.
