I love finding new vintage photos of the Brown Derbys, especially the first restaurant. This photo was taken after it moved from its original location at 3427 Wilshire, between Mariposa & Alexandria to where most people remember, at 3377 Wilshire, oriented to the northeast corner of Alexandria. I’ve never noticed that large dark house to the north. I wonder if the people who lived there ate in the hat all the time. I know I would have!
My father was one of the main preforms at the “polar place”. He was there from the early 1950’s to the late 1950’s. His name was Timm M. Poteet. Please if you have photos of my father it would mean the world to me I have nothing… He was on the ice skating show televised from the pilot place…
Hello Martin,
My father was one of the main preforms at the “polar place”. He was there from the early 1950’s to the late 1950’s. His name was Timm M. Poteet. Please if you have photos of my father it would mean the world to me I have nothing… He was on the ice skating show televised from the pilot place…
Thank you
Hi Janette, I don’t have many photos of the Polar Palace but I’ll certainly keep an eye out for them on my travels around the internet.
