Looking east from the Bradbury Mansion widow's walk during the construction of Los Angeles City Hall, 1928Here’s an unusual angle we don’t often get to see. It’s the view looking east from the Bradbury Mansion widow’s walk, while Los Angeles City Hall was being built in 1928. Lewis L. Bradbury was hugely successful real estate developer who built a magnificent home on Hill Street. (He also built the famous Bradbury building) As we can see from this photo, he had quite the view. But I wonder if he thought that the rise of the tallest building in LA spoiled his view.
