Dolores del Rio and her husband, MGM art director Cedric Gibbons in their Santa Monica home, May 28 1931

Dolores del Rio and her husband, MGM art director Cedric Gibbons in their 757 Kingman Ave, Santa Monica home, May 28th 1931I love the sun-dappled tranquility captured in this shot of Dolores del Rio and her husband Cedric Gibbons in their 757 Kingman Ave, Santa Monica home, May 28, 1931. I think being married to MGM’s legendary and ubiquitous art director pretty much guarantees living in a memorable home. Luckily, we don’t have to just imagine it – Veranda.com did a photo spread of the house in May 2016: http://bit.ly/2fyVr1B

  1. One of my makeup clients, Marcia Gay Harden, lived in the house next door. Dolores the home built for her mother. It was the house I saw my very first Academy Award statue. I love that I got to see Oscar for the first time right next door to his creators home. She won for Best Supporting Actress for Pollock in 2000
