Employees at the Egyptian Theater on Hollywood Blvd are busy putting Esther Williams’ name up in lights in preparation for MGM’s latest extravaganza, “On an Island with You” (1948) Evidently Xavier Cugat and Technicolor were big enough draws to make it onto the marquee. The store on the left was Harry Dine’s Mens Wear, a high-end shop from about 1940 into the 1950s.
