This photo of Aimee Semple McPherson’s soup kitchen was taken 1932 at the depth of the depression. It stood at 2210 W. Temple St, Los Angeles, not from her from Angelus Temple at Echo Park and was probably a welcome sight among down-at-heel Angelenos. I had never see her name as Aimee McPherson Hutton. David Hutton was her 3^rd husband (1931 to 1934) and her second marriage to end in divorce. By the way, that building is still there, as is the one next to it!
