The corner of Hollywood Blvd and Vine Street looking south down Vine circa WWII maybe?

The corner of Hollywood Blvd and Vine Street looking south down Vine circa WWII maybe?I do enjoy a slice-of-life street scene, especially at one of the most famous street corners in the world: the corner of Hollywood and Vine. I don’t have a date on this but from the trio of Marines on the right, I’m guessing maybe circa WWII. I love that we can see the Brown Derby sign in the background, the kid sitting on the wooden boxes underneath the semaphore sign, the Owl Drug Company sign and that sensible black hat on the woman sitting at the bus stop.

Could well be WWII. The blue car behind the service men appears to be a ’42 Chevy and it seems to be the newest car in the picture
