Grauman's Chinese Theater at night as seen from the Hollywood Hotel next door, circa 1936Here’s an atmospheric night shot from circa 1936! Through the foliage out front of the Hollywood Hotel we can see the bright lights of the neighboring Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. It makes me wonder what was playing at the time: “A Tale of Two Cities” or “Modern Times” or one of my favorite films from that year, “Wife Versus Secretary” starring Gable, Loy, and Harlow.
