Arrowhead Springwater billboard, Wilshire Blvd (next to the Ambassador Hotel & Theatre) circa mid 1930sThis photo is circa mid 1930s showing that the water at Lake Arrowhead (80 miles east of Los Angeles) has been providing Angelenos water that is “Always cool and fresh” for longer that I realized. This elaborate billboard (note the huge replica water cooler on the right) was on Wilshire Boulevard. On the far left we can see an “Ambassador” sign along with advertising for what was playing. The poster says “All Talking” so I assume it’s the Hotel Ambassador Theater located inside the hotel. If that’s the case, this is probably the Mariposa Ave corner, all though that’s just a guess and I’d welcome any input to clarify that.
