In a sprawling, dynamic town like Los Angeles, it’s not often you can come across a photo from more than 80 years ago and realize the view isn’t a whole lot different today. This is Wilshire Blvd looking west from Lafayette Park toward what was back then the Town House Hotel (and is now an apartment block) and farther in the distance the tower of the Bullocks Wilshire department store. This photo is circa 1935 and below is a photo from June 2017 showing much the same view.
