This is an interesting facet of life during WWII that I’ve never seen before. This five-bulb streetlight at the corner of Main and 33rd Streets, Los Angeles (near the USC campus) has all five of its bulbs blacked-out on top. With Pearl Harbor still fresh in the minds of Angelenos, the city would have been on dim-out.
The lamp that’s there now isn’t nearly so interesting!
