LeRoy Gordon and Chas. Ona stores, Westwood Village, Los Angeles, circa 1937I don’t know what Chas. Ona did (probably a florist from the looks of his window display) but from what I can see, LeRoy Gordon was a chain of beauty salons. (Do we still call them “beauty salons” anymore?) This atmospheric photo was taken in the Westwood Village area of Los Angeles in 1937 and I especially love the style of signage out front of each store. They sure don’t make stores that look like this anymore, do they? Nor cars for that matter.

Chas. Ona looks like it might have been a flower shop.

Thanks, a very fine and classy building. Cars nowadays looks like something out of Duckburg 🙂
