When they finally get around to building that time machine, one of the time+place destinations on my (long) list will be the one shown here in this photograph: the Los Angeles premiere of “How to Marry a Millionaire” at the Fox Wilshire Theatre, 8440 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills on November 4, 1953. Talk about an A-List guest list! But until that happens, we’ll have to be content with this one-minute footage on YouTube:

Interesting to note that Marilyn Monroe has billing before Betty Grable and Lauren Bacall.
On November 4th, 2023 they are playing that film at that venue to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the premiere, with some of Marilyn’s things on display and guest speakers.
