The Hollywood High School that stands at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Highland Ave today isn’t the original building. This photo, taken in 1905, shows a more impressive building with an imposing dome and a tall flagpole. Equally interesting, we can see how rural Hollywood was back then. The closest building was can see – that large home on the left – looks to be quite a distance.

I ran into this picture.. I got very nostalgic…I am an immigrant from Acapulco Mexico
.I came in few months vacation.. . I enrolled in this school lo learn some English..everything was so fitting to me.. free classes a very good teacher..this was 54 years ago..I went back to Mexico…I decided I liked the states…I came back.. got married, 54 years..a long life .
.good and bad.. I learned English well. Wery well.. I had my first great English teacher in that school..what a great teacher.
