According to IMDB, the Hollywood premiere of MGM’s all-star production of “Till The Clouds Roll By” took place on January 16, 1947. This photo shows us that it was held at the Egyptian Theatre, which surprises me as the movie featured over 12 stars. I’d have thought that qualified it for a premiere at the more prestigious Grauman’s Chinese. But they did set up bleachers for the movie fans who must have been treated to a veritable parade of stars that night.

That’s a nifty car in the foreground!
It’s very eye-catching, it’s it? I wish I knew what it was.
Ford DeLuxe 5-window coupe similarity? Radiator grill was dropped lower by 1936. Seems to predate 1941 look. Car over by the curb looks almost alike. Not sure about the forward lean in the pillars…like a “go faster” statement. Was there another vehicle close to that Ford styling?
