Louis Calhern was a well-known character actor who appeared in countless movies, including “The Road to Singapore” (1931), “Heaven Can Wait” (1943), “The Asphalt Jungle” (1950), and “High Society” (1956). He was a very frequent resident at the Garden of Allah and lived there with 3 of his 4 wives: Julia Hoyt, Natalie Schafer, and Mariane Stewart. He was also there with Dorothy Gish in the 1940s.
