I. Magnin department store, 6340 Hollywood Boulevard, circa 1930The upscale I. Magnin store at 6340 Hollywood Boulevard. Although the building is still there, it doesn’t look anything like it does here. If you look closely, you can see one of those old semaphore traffic lights on the Ivar Ave corner. I’m guessing the photographer had to get up pretty early to get a shot with no traffic or pedestrians, even in 1930, which is approximately when this photo was taken.
