Grauman’s Chinese Theater and the Hollywood Hotel on Hollywood Blvd, early 1950s
A twofer! Grauman’s Chinese theater AND the Hollywood Hotel IN color! My guess is that this was taken early-to-mid 1950s as the hotel fell under the wrecking ball in 1956.
Aerial view of the Hollywood Hotel at the corner of Hollywood and Highland, 1930s
The Hollywood Hotel on the corner of Hollywood and Highland as seen from the air (the Goodyear blimp maybe?) in the 1930s. It looks like there is a large white tent covering the lot to the west.

Hollywood Hotel at night, 1950s
A great night shot of the Hollywood Hotel which stood on the corner of Hollywood and Highland from 1902 to 1956. In this atmospheric night shot, a 1956 Oldsmobile is parked out front.
Hollywood Hotel on Hollywood Blvd color photograph
You don’t often see color photos (or at least colorized photos) of the Hollywood Hotel which stood for over 50 years on the corner of Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave. See also SPOTLIGHT ON…THE HOLLYWOOD HOTEL
