Vine Street looking north from Selma Ave to Hollywood Blvd, 1960

Vine Street looking north from Selma Ave to Hollywood Blvd, 1960Here we have a view at dusk of Vine Street looking north from Selma Ave toward the Hollywood and Vine corner, in 1960. We can see the Plaza Hotel (where Clara Bow once had her “It Café”), the Broadway department store; the Taft Building (where Charlie Chaplin, Will Rogers, and the Academy had offices); and on the extreme right, the neon sign for the Vine Street Brown Derby restaurant – the one with all the movie star caricatures on the wall.
