On Dave DeCaro’s Daveland blog (http://bit.ly/ZiQ7RF) I found this great shot of the old Hollywood Hotel, which occupied the corner of Hollywood Blvd and Highland Ave from 1903 to 1956. In all the photos I’ve seen of this place, I’ve never noticed the “HOLLYWOOD HOTEL – Hollywood Hotel Corner” sign on the corner where the huge Gap store stands today. Looking at it from this angle, it does look like the sort of place where ghost stories are born.
