Here we have a shot of the Brown Derby in Beverly Hills as taken from the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. This is the Derby that was busiest on Thursday nights which was the traditional “maid’s night off.” This Brown Derby sat at the corner of Wilshire and Rodeo Drive, so the street we’re looking up is Rodeo. It looks a WHOLE lot more sedate back then, more like just a regular city street, which you’d never say these days.
